The Story Behind Having 8 Cats at Home
Let’s pet cats!
I have a total of 8 cats in my house. A lot, right? Yes, you are right. Although there are many people out there who have a total of more than 8 cats, I personally consider having 8 cats to be one of the great things that happened in my life. How come? I have had cats for less than 1 year, but I was given the opportunity to care for and look after a total of 7 kittens.
It started with my little brother who worked outside the city, and he gave his cat to my mother for personal reasons. So, my little brother’s cat named Miu has been at my house since March 2023. At that time, I was very happy because I finally had a cat at home without having to secretly bring the neighbor’s cat to my house. This is because my mother forbade me from having a cat at home for certain reasons.
From there, my family and I at home really love Miu no matter what the situation is. We prioritize Miu over anything else in the house. Then, we also felt a deep sense of joy when Miu is there and with us at home.
Several actions such as bathing, feeding, drinking, giving vaccines, sterilizing Miu are carried out by us as cat owners who are responsible for Miu. This was done because the three of us, namely, me, my mother and my father agreed to spend some of our money on our beloved cat, Miu.
Talking about sterilization, sterilization was carried out in December 2023 because the three of us agreed that Miu should have kittens first. Apart from us wanting Miu’s kittens, we want our house to be full of cats so we won’t be feel lonely. Finally, in June 2023, we allowed Miu to play outside often so that she could be mated with by any male cat outside our house.
Not long after, Miu was allowed to mate with a male cat outside the house. We found out that Miu was pregnant in July 2023. It was news we had been waiting for a long time and we couldn’t be happier about it. With hearts full of hope that Miu’s kittens will be cute, smart and adorable like Miu, we give more affection and attention to Miu while she was pregnant.
By having a big stomach, this doesn’t stop Miu from continuing to hunt prey out there such as cockroaches and lizards. However, of course Miu is more careful with what is in her stomach. In fact, Miu often lifts her stomach more carefully when she wants to sit or sleep. This is a good thing for Miu and the kittens in her womb.
While Miu was pregnant, she became a much more spoiled cat than before she became pregnant. Then, some of Miu’s behavior when she was pregnant was impressive and very funny. So, this makes Miu a cat that is still very cute, just like before she was pregnant.
One of Miu’s cute and adorable behavior is taking a funny pose which makes us and our family amused by this cute behavior of hers.
Then, on September 13 2023, Miu gave birth. Miu gave birth accompanied by my mother. This also makes it easier for Miu to gave birth. Even though Miu looked very tired and exhausted because she used so much energy to give birth to her 7 kittens, she still struggled so that all 7 kittens came out of the opening of her womb.
After Miu succeeded in giving birth to a total of 7 cute and adorable kittens, she immediately gave nutritional intake in the form of milk to her kittens. Miu’s instinct in providing nutrition in the form of milk to her 7 kittens shows that she is a mother who is responsible for her kittens.
After a few days, the three of us gave names to each of Miu’s kittens, namely: Kruncil, Hanan, Pak Teh, Zebya, Devi, Dhea, and Dayana.
